(b. 1962) is a contemporary Indian artist whose practice reflects a life shaped by movement, travel and encounters with diverse cultures. Her paintings transform memories of cities, architecture and landscapes into richly layered compositions, often distinguished by luminous colours, intricate surfaces and a distinctive sense of space. Her works move between abstraction and recognisable forms, allowing memory to become the organising principle.
Educated in Sweden and the Philippines, Karim works across painting, sculpture and installation. Through her vibrant visual language, she creates imagined landscapes that carry traces of places visited, remembered and reinterpreted.
