Shubhra Das

(b. 1982, New Delhi) is a contemporary Indian artist whose practice is deeply rooted in her relationship with nature. Her paintings explore nature not simply as a subject, but as a source of creation, nourishment and spiritual connection. Organic forms, layered structures and vibrant colours come together to create compositions that suggest the interconnectedness of life and the need for greater harmony between humanity and the natural world.

Das completed her BFA in Applied Arts from the College of Art, New Delhi, in 2003, followed by a postgraduate degree in Visual Arts from Lalit Kala Sansthan, Agra, in 2005. Her work continues to advocate a deeper sensitivity towards nature and its sustaining force.
