(b. 1970, Delhi) is a contemporary Indian artist whose practice draws from Indian philosophy, spirituality, folk traditions and the natural environment. Her paintings are populated by symbolic forms, fluid imagery and layers of colour that suggest cosmic energy, transformation and the interconnectedness of life. Rather than following a fixed narrative, her works create atmospheric spaces where forms appear to move between the visible and the imagined.
She completed her BFA in Painting from the College of Art, New Delhi, in 1993 and MFA from Jamia Millia Islamia in 1995. She has received recognitions including the Raja Ravi Varma Samman and the Bharat Nirman Award for Brilliance in Art.
