Sachin Sagare

(b. 1981, Maharashtra) is a contemporary Indian painter whose practice centres on the lives, strength and quiet dignity of women. Growing up in a rural environment in the Solapur region, he developed an intimate understanding of the women around him, whose everyday presence continues to inform his imagery. His paintings portray women within simple domestic and rural settings, rendered through delicate lines, vibrant colours and a distinctive sense of warmth.

Sagare studied Drawing and Painting at Dalvis Art Institute, Kolhapur, followed by Applied Arts at Abhinav Chitrakala Mahavidyalaya, Pune. After an early career in Mumbai’s film industry as a storyboard artist and assistant director, he returned to his first passion—painting.
