Sachin Jaltare

(b. 1969, Maharashtra) is a contemporary Indian artist whose practice has evolved from figurative painting towards a deeply contemplative language of abstraction and spirituality. His works often draw upon the imagery of Shiva, exploring ideas of consciousness, energy and the relationship between the material and the metaphysical. Through layered forms, muted tones and a meditative visual rhythm, Jaltare creates compositions that invite quiet reflection.

Jaltare completed his BFA from Chitrakala Mahavidyalaya, Nagpur, in 1991. After beginning his career as an illustrator in Hyderabad, he chose to devote himself entirely to painting, with the guidance and encouragement of artists including Laxma Goud and Thota Vaikuntam.
