(b. 1974, Burla, Odisha) is a contemporary Indian multidisciplinary artist whose practice responds to the complex relationship between human existence, urbanisation, migration, and ecological change. His experiences of moving from a rural environment to Delhi deeply influenced his understanding of rapidly transforming landscapes.
His practice extends across painting, video, photography, performance, installation, earth art, and sculpture. Construction sites, grids, urban structures, isolated figures, and fragmented spaces recur throughout his work, reflecting the displacement and vulnerability experienced within rapidly expanding cities.
Dash completed his BFA from B.K. College of Arts and Crafts, Bhubaneswar, followed by an MFA in Painting from the College of Art, New Delhi. His evolving practice remains a powerful meditation on urban transformation, displacement, and the fragile position of the individual within contemporary society.
