Paresh Thukrul

Artist

is a contemporary Indian painter whose practice is closely connected to the landscapes and memories of his childhood in Rajapur. Growing up surrounded by forests, fields, mango trees, and the Konkan seashore, these experiences became a lasting visual and emotional foundation for his work.

His paintings often explore seascapes, rivers, landscapes, boats, changing skies, and the atmosphere of places remembered rather than simply observed. Working with oil and layered applications of colour, Thukrul creates surfaces that invite repeated viewing, allowing details and moods to gradually emerge.

He studied drawing and painting at L.S. Raheja School of Art, Mumbai, completing his course in 2017. His practice transforms personal memory into landscape, creating paintings that speak quietly of place, belonging, nature, and the enduring pull of home.
