P. Gnana

Artist

is a Singapore-based Indian artist whose multidisciplinary practice encompasses painting, sculpture, and conceptual installation. His work is particularly recognised for the recurring presence of the cow, a motif that has become central to his exploration of memory, spirituality, identity, and cultural symbolism.

The cow appears in his paintings and sculptures not simply as an animal but as a vessel for personal and collective associations. His figurative works often combine expressive forms with conceptual elements, allowing familiar imagery to acquire new layers of meaning.

Gnana received formal training in painting at LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore, as a recipient of the LASALLE Scholarship. His practice continues to navigate the space between cultural memory, symbolism, spirituality, and contemporary expression.
