(b. 1965, Hyderabad) is a contemporary Indian artist whose practice brings together mythology, regional traditions, and contemporary visual language. Drawing inspiration particularly from the Ramayana and Mahabharata, Goud transforms familiar mythological narratives into richly layered compositions.
His stylised figures are distinguished by strong contours, vivid colours, expressive faces, and intricate patterns. Influences from Andhra Pradesh’s traditional leather puppetry can be seen in the graphic treatment of his figures, while references to textile traditions such as Kalamkari further enrich his visual vocabulary.
