(b. 1972, Telangana) is a contemporary Indian artist whose practice is deeply rooted in the rural landscapes, traditions, and everyday life of Telangana. Drawing from his childhood memories of village life, Narsimlu transforms ordinary encounters and familiar figures into richly detailed compositions that celebrate the dignity and vitality of rural communities.
His paintings are characterised by expressive human forms, vivid colours, intricate clothing, traditional jewellery, and distinctive facial expressions. Men and women appear immersed in moments of work, conversation, companionship, and quiet reflection, creating a visual record of a way of life that is gradually changing. His use of varied skin tones and stylised forms further reflects ideas of tolerance, diversity, and human connection.
Narsimlu completed his BFA from the College of Fine Arts and Architecture, JNT University, Hyderabad, followed by an MFA from JNAFAU, Hyderabad. Through painting and sculpture, Narsimlu continues to preserve the visual memory of Telangana’s villages, bringing together folk tradition, human warmth, cultural identity, and contemporary expression.
