Kamar Alam

(b. 1979, Mussoorie) is a contemporary Indian artist whose practice explores spirituality, interconnectedness and the relationship between the human self and the natural world. His distinctive pointillist paintings bring together stylised human figures, trees and boats within serene, often monochromatic compositions. Through delicate dots, subtle contrasts and symbolic forms, Alam creates contemplative spaces that reflect ideas of inner transformation, positivity, wisdom and the continuous journey of life.

Alam completed his BFA in Painting from the College of Art, New Delhi, in 2003, followed by a postgraduate degree in Visual Art from Lalit Kala Sansthan, Agra, in 2005. Exhibiting since 2003. His evolving practice continues to bring together simplicity, symbolism and spirituality, creating a quiet dialogue between the individual, nature and the larger universe.
