Harsimran Juneja

Artist

(b. 1995) is a contemporary artist whose practice is driven by an inquisitive examination of identity, society and the contradictions of human behaviour. His works often emerge from the friction between personal experience and the larger social structures that surround it, giving his imagery an introspective yet questioning character.

Drawing, painting, text and found objects become interconnected elements within his practice. Primitive forms, symbols, fragments of mythology and everyday objects coexist with handwritten or graffiti-like text, creating compositions that feel simultaneously raw, personal and deliberately unresolved.

Juneja is self-taught in fine art and holds a B.B.A. from NMIMS University, followed by an M.A. in Design Management and Cultures from the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London. His interdisciplinary background has encouraged him to move beyond conventional boundaries of medium, incorporating video, sound, combines and found materials into his artistic vocabulary. His practice continues to evolve through an unusual balance of spontaneity and inquiry, using the language of art to question rather than simply explain.
