is a muralist, sculptor and installation artist whose practice is distinguished by an inventive engagement with discarded materials. For him, objects that have reached the end of their functional lives become the beginning of another artistic possibility, transformed through assemblage into monumental and often unexpected forms.Discarded metal occupies a particularly significant place in his work. Industrial
fragments, machinery and pieces of scrap are brought together to form animals, figures and large-scale installations, creating a striking dialogue between the industrial and the organic. His sculptures possess both physical monumentality and an underlying ecological consciousness.
A Gold Medallist from the School of Arts, Jaipur, Namjoshi has developed a multifaceted career encompassing sculpture, murals, installation design, exhibition design and art education. He has also conducted workshops in diverse traditional and contemporary techniques, including terracotta, Raku, iron sculpture, paper sculpture and jewellery. By giving discarded materials a new visual life, Namjoshi transforms the language of waste into one of imagination, sustainability and public engagement.
