Amol Pawar

Artist

Born in 1988 in Maharashtra, India, Amol Pawar is a contemporary painter whose practice explores the relationship between memory, place, and everyday experience. Trained in fine arts with a specialization in painting, he has developed a distinctive visual language that reflects both personal narratives and the cultural environment of India.
Pawar’s work draws from close observation of daily life and the evolving textures of urban and rural landscapes.
His practice also engages with spiritual symbolism, often featuring motifs such as the Bull (Nandi) and the Horse, representing strength, movement, and aspiration. Characterized by earthy ochres, deep crimsons, calligraphy, and ancient script-like forms, Pawar reinterprets mythology through a contemporary artistic lens. His recent exhibitions include shows at Jahangir Art Gallery, India Art Festival, and Affordable Art Fair Singapore, presenting spiritually inspired contemporary paintings.
