Abhiram Bhairu

Artist

(b. 1986, Hyderabad) is a contemporary Indian painter who highlights the pastoral landscapes and daily rhythms of rural Telangana. He simplifies village scenes into clean compositions defined by solid blocks of color and clear geometric shapes.

His paintings focus on village men, women, and livestock—such as goats and cattle—repositioning routine country activities into balanced, peaceful designs. By leaving out intricate background clutter, he creates a strong sense of stillness. His signature palette balances teals and blues with earth tones and bright yellows.

Bairu earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Sri Venkateshwara College of Fine Arts in 2008 and his Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNAFAU), Hyderabad, in 2011.

His artwork is highly recognized across the Indian contemporary art market, featuring in numerous solo and group exhibitions nationwide. His distinctive compositions offer an enduring, serene narrative for modern spaces.
